Spring and summer used to be the low season in Puerto, but now we see new, younger people coming in after the winter people (including retirees from Canada and the U.S.) have left. My goal with this issue is to introduce newcomers to stuff you will not find on TripAdvisor,like the history of the Oaxaca Coast in Pre-Hispanic times and the Museum of the Nile River, which is actually on the Río Verde.
Puerto is famous for its sunsets on the beach. You might want to see one from the sky in an ultralight plane. A day trip to Mazunte and San Agustinillo is also recommended.
