In December we celebrate the Day of the Immigrant with a party at the Agencia Municipal of Puerto Escondido hosted by the Instituto Nacional de Migración (INM) and local businesses. Check with Gina at the tourist information booth on the Adoquín for the exact date.

Unfortunately, our good friend, federal agent Rolando Trujillo Sánchez will probably not be in attendance, as he is being transferred to the Pachuca office. Rolando served seven years in Puerto and knew all the migrants. He would give us his sad look and then re-write our applications for a visa renewal. We love him to bits.
