Art Lives on the Coast
MANCHA en Zipolite
2026 BEGAN WITH MANCHA presenting a Festival of the Arts in Zipolite in front of the beach. For three days (February 6-8), over 30 artists exhibited their work and 15 bands (cumbia, reggae, jazz and rock) put on shows. And there were workshops and spaces for children
Organized by 175 Galería de Arte, with the collaboration of the municipio of San Pedro Pochutla and local businesses, the event brought together artists and musicians from all over Mexico as well as the Czech Republic, Denmark, Spain, Venezuela and Colombia.
With this international vibe, MANCHA made clear that art can inhabit the beach without losing its profundity and that cultural interchange is an essential part of Zipolite’s identity.
